NMNTI assisted Carter & Burgess, Inc. in conducting an investigative study for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to characterize the nature and extent of radioactive materials and radiation conditions at the site. The purpose of this investigation was to calculate if an above-background human radiation dose at the site exceeded the government standard for unrestricted regulatory release and license termination, and, if it did to estimate the volume and nature of the radionuclide materials responsible.
